We would like to introduce life in Korea as an international student for those of you who are preparing to apply for Kwangwoon Center for Korean Language and Culture at Kwangwoon University. Your foremost interest and concern would be 'where and how to eat and sleep'.

There are various places to eat around Kwangwoon Unviersity.
Students can buy cheap and tasty food they like at prices between KRW 4,000 and 6,000.
In the university The food court has a number of menus including Korean food, Chinese food, Japanese food, and snacks. The student dining hall in Welfare Center serves one menu at a cheaper price. Students can get about 10% discount at the food court as well as the restaurants near the university.
Outside the university International students' favorite restaurants : Kwangwoon Restaurant, Kimbab Chunkuk, Moon Udong, Jeonju Ssambab

There are a number of 24-hour convenience stores and marts that sell things at cheaper prices around the university.
Large-scale discount stores like E-mart is also a good choice. Students can take a bus to the E-mart. However, it is a good idea to take a walk for about 20 minutes after dinner, look around the store, and try samples of food and fruits.

Located in north-eastern Seoul, Kwangwoon University seems to be far from the downtown or Kangnam. However, nearby bus stops and subway stations make it relatively convenient for transportation. The base fare for public transportation is KRW 1,000 and transfer discounts are applied when transferring between buses as well as between bus and subway.
